Heat Stroke...

Heat stroke is your body overheating. It will normally happen with prolonged exposure in or physical exertion in high temperatures.

Symptoms of Heat Stroke:

  • A high body temperature.

  • Nausea and vomiting.

  • Confusion, agitation, slurred speech.

  • Flushed skin.

  • Racing heart rate.

  • Rapid breathing.

  • Headaches. 

Tips on preventing Heat stroke:

  • When out in hot weather, wear light weight and loose fitting clothing.

  • Wear sunscreen and try and prevent a sunburn.

  • Drink plenty of water and other fluids.

  • Stay inside during the hottest parts of the day. If unable to, try and stay in the shade.

  • Monitor how you're feeling when outside, if you feel like you're overheating, go inside and try and cool your body down.
